1. (a) The Private Sector Advisory Council is a permanent special advisory committee created to advise the governor or the governor's designee on homeland security issues relevant to the private sector.

2. (b) The council is composed of:

   1. (1) one representative of a private organization or entity for each of the following sectors of the state, each appointed by the governor or the governor's designee:

      1. (A) agriculture and food;
      2. (B) banking and finance;
      3. (C) chemicals and hazardous materials;
      4. (D) the defense industry;
      5. (E) energy;
      6. (F) emergency services;
      7. (G) information technology;
      8. (H) telecommunications;
      9. (I) postal and shipping;
      10. (J) public health;
      11. (K) transportation;
      12. (L) ports and waterways; and
      13. (M) national monuments and icons; and
   2. (2) other members, as determined by the governor or the governor's designee.
