The clerk of the supreme court shall:

1. (1) file and carefully preserve the transcripts of records certified to the supreme court and papers relative to the record;
2. (2) docket causes in the order in which the supreme court directs;
3. (3) faithfully record the proceedings and decisions of the supreme court; and
4. (4) certify the judgments of the supreme court to the courts from which the cases were brought.
