Tex. Gov't Code § 24.101 – 1St Judicial District (Jasper, Newton, Sabine, and San Augustine Counties)

(a) The 1st Judicial District is composed of Jasper, Newton, Sabine, and San Augustine counties.
(b) In addition to other jurisdiction provided by law, the 1st District Court in Sabine and San Augustine counties has the civil jurisdiction of a county court.
(c) The terms of the 1st District Court begin:
1. (1) in Jasper County on the first Monday in January and the 22nd Monday after the first Monday in January;
2. (2) in Newton County on the 5th and 34th Mondays after the first Monday in January;
3. (3) in San Augustine County on the 11th and 40th Mondays after the first Monday in January; and
4. (4) in Sabine County on the 17th and 45th Mondays after the first Monday in January.
