The initial period of community supervision may not exceed 10 years. The court may continue the community supervision beyond 10 years until the earlier of:

1. (1) the second anniversary of the date on which the community supervision first exceeded 10 years; or
2. (2) the date on which all child support, including arrearages and interest, has been paid.
