An authorization agreement executed under this chapter is for a term of six months from the date the parties enter into the agreement and renews automatically for six-month terms unless:

1. (1) an earlier expiration date is stated in the authorization agreement;
2. (2) the authorization agreement is terminated as provided by Section 34.008; or
3. (3) a court authorizes the continuation of the agreement as provided by Section 34.008(b).
