If the ward's estate produces negligible or fixed income, the court may waive the filing of annual accounts and may permit the guardian to:

1. (1) receive all estate income and apply the income to the support, maintenance, and education of the ward; and
2. (2) account to the court for the estate income and corpus when the estate must be closed.
