- (a) To ensure the accuracy of the tabulation of electronic voting system results, the secretary of state or the secretary's designee may conduct a manual or automatic count of any portion of any number of ballots from any precinct in which the electronic voting system was used.
- (b) The count may be conducted at any time during the period for preserving the applicable precinct election records.
- (c) The general custodian of election records is entitled to be present at the count.
