1. (a) In this section:

   1. (1) "Coordinating board" means the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
   2. (2) "Institution of higher education" has the meaning assigned by Section 61.003.

2. (b) Before the initial release of academic accountability ratings for a school year:

   1. (1) the coordinating board shall provide to each school district a copy of all source data as submitted to the coordinating board by an institution of higher education that the coordinating board provides to the agency to consider in:

      1. (A) determining the district's accreditation status under Section 39.052; or
      2. (B) assigning performance ratings for the district or the district's campuses under Section 39.054; and

   2. (2) the agency shall provide to each school district a copy of all source data as submitted to the agency by an entity other than the district that the agency considers in:

      1. (A) determining the district's accreditation status under Section 39.052; or
      2. (B) assigning performance ratings for the district or the district's campuses under Section 39.054.
