Postsecondary Education Advisory Board

  1. (a) The district shall establish a postsecondary education advisory board to advise the district and the department regarding postsecondary education programs.
  2. (b) The advisory board is composed of members who are relevant stakeholders, including representatives of:

    1. (1) the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board;
    2. (2) the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation;
    3. (3) the Texas Workforce Commission;
    4. (4) public institutions of higher education on a rotating basis;
    5. (5) an organization that represents the families of students participating in postsecondary education programs administered by the district;
    6. (6) an organization that advocates for the education of students participating in postsecondary education programs administered by the district; and
    7. (7) current or former student participants in postsecondary education programs administered by the district.
