1. (a) On the attorney general's own motion or on request of a claimant or victim, the attorney general may reconsider:

   1. (1) a decision to make or deny an award; or
   2. (2) the amount of an award.
2. (b) At least annually, the attorney general shall reconsider each award being paid in installments.

3. (c) On reconsideration, the attorney general may order the refund of an award if:

   1. (1) the award was obtained by fraud or mistake; or
   2. (2) newly discovered evidence shows the claimant or victim to be ineligible for the award under Article 56B.057 or 56B.107.
