Text of article effective until April 01, 2027

This subchapter does not apply to an autopsy that:

1. (1) is ordered by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice or an authorized official of the department in accordance with Section 501.055, Government Code; or

2. (2) a justice of the peace or medical examiner determines is required under this chapter or other law.
