Before a sale or offer for sale, including advertising, of a business opportunity, the principal seller must register the business opportunity with the secretary of state by filing:

1. (1) a copy of the disclosure statement required by Subchapter D, except as provided by Section 51.053; and

2. (2) a list of the name and resident address of any individual who sells or will sell the business opportunity for the principal seller.
