Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 16.053 – Filing of Application; Examination

(a) On the filing of an application for registration and payment of the application fee, the secretary of state shall examine the application for compliance with this chapter.
(b) The applicant shall provide to the secretary of state any additional pertinent information requested by the secretary of state, including a description of a design mark.
