1. (1) When a case of cholera, diphtheria, hepatitis type A, poliomyelitis, salmonellosis (including typhoid fever), shigellosis, campylobacteriosis, acute giardiasis, streptococcal infection, or a carrier of salmonella or shigella exists or resides on any farm or dairy producing milk, cream, butter, cheese, or other milk products, the local health officer:

   1. (a) May prohibit the removal or sale of these products from such farm or dairy unless the handling or processing of the products be done in a manner which will preclude the possibility of contamination or the case is no longer considered infectious;
   2. (b) Shall, if potentially contaminated products are being sold or consumed in another health jurisdiction. immediately report the situation to the local health officer concerned. Giving necessary information regarding the disease and the name and location of such farm or dairy and the place where these products are sold or consumed.
