A limited permit may be issued by the Board to applicants for licensure as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant who have paid the Limited Permit Fee required by Rule 1150-02-.06, and have successfully completed the educational and field experience requirements of paragraphs (1) or (2) of Rule 1150-02-.04, and in the case of entry-level OTD students, the Experiential Component, and are scheduled to take the examination required by Rule 1150-02-.08. Applicants for licensure who have been issued a limited permit may practice occupational therapy only OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY under supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, as provided in Rule 1150-02-.10. Individuals who have previously failed the exam once in any state are not eligible for a limited permit in Tennessee.
