1. (1) Pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-19-105, the Committee and Board shall license no person as a physician assistant unless:

   1. (a) The person is a graduate of a physician assistant training program accredited by C.A.H.E.A., C.A.A.H.E.P. or A.R.C.-P.A.; and
   2. (b) The person has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

2. (2) Alternatively to 1130-01-.04(1), any person licensed/certified/registered as a physician assistant in another state may be licensed as a physician assistant in Tennessee if both of the following requirements are met:

   1. (a) The person is a graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by C.A.H.E.A., C.A.A.H.E.P. or A.R.C.-P.A. at the time of graduation; and
   2. (b) Has practiced as a physician assistant in another state for a period of ten (10) consecutive years immediately prior to seeking licensure in the State of Tennessee.
   3. (c) All persons licensed pursuant to 1130-01-.04(2) must provide letters of verification of employment. All expenses of verification will be the applicant’s responsibility. OF A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
