1. (1) As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires, the definitions of terms contained in T.C.A., 63-43-103 are applicable. Additional definitions are listed as follows:

   1. (a) Conviction shall mean the entry of a guilty plea of any kind, a plea of nollo contendre, or a verdict rendered in open court by a judge or jury.
   2. (b) Act shall mean the Tennessee Employee Leasing Act.
