Pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-1-302, these rules are applicable to the following programs and are subject to monitoring by the Department of Education:

1. (1) Public school-administered early childhood education programs;
2. (2) Programs operated by private schools as defined by § 49-6-3001(c)(3);
3. (3) Child care provided by church affiliated schools as defined by § 49-50-801;
4. (4) State approved Montessori school programs;
5. (5) Before or after school child care programs operated pursuant to §§ 49-2-203(b)(11) and 49-6- 707;
6. (6) Programs providing center-based early intervention services through Tennessee Early Intervention Services; and
7. (7) Child care provided in federally regulated programs including Title I preschools, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and all school-administered head start and even start programs.
