1. (1) “Department” means the Tennessee Department of Education.
2. (2) “Eligible Educator” means an educator who holds an active Tennessee professional-level teacher license with at least one (1) academic Endorsement Area in accordance with State Board Educator Licensure Rules Chapter 0520-02-03.
3. (3) “Endorsement Area” has the same definition as used in State Board Educator Preparation Rule 0520-02-04-.02.
4. (4) “LEA” means a Tennessee Local Education Agency and has the same meaning given in T.C.A. § 49-1-103(2).
5. (5) “State Board” means the Tennessee State Board of Education.
6. (6) “Specialty Area Program” or “SAP” has the same definition as used in State Board Educator Preparation Rule 0520-02-04-.02.
