- (1) Pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-6-3507(b) and in order to assess academic performance, the Department shall annually select a statistical sample of Recipients enrolled in any of the grades three (3) through eight (8) who, pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-6-3507(a)(1)(B), were Recipients during the prior school year and were administered TCAP assessments in the prior school year.
- (2) The statistical sample shall be determined based on all Recipients administered the TCAP in the relevant grade bands in the subjects of English language arts and mathematics who have a valid, reportable assessment score. While ensuring data privacy restrictions, the sample shall be sufficient to generate a 95 percent confidence interval of results being representative of the entire pool of Recipients. The Department shall prepare an annual report on the outcomes of the analysis.
