Prior to submitting an application each of the following qualifications must be met by a candidate for dietitian/nutritionist licensure:

1. (1) Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist by Examination

   1. (a) Completion of education pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-29-108(2).

      1. 1. Evidence verifying that an individual has already passed the Commission registration examination and holds current CDR certification as an R.D. is considered to be equivalent to completion of a “course of study approved by the Board.” Thus, an individual submitting verification of such is deemed to have met the education requirements set forth for licensure in T.C.A. § 63-25-108(2).
      2. 2. The education requirement must be completed prior to the date of application.
   2. (b) Completion of a planned continuous pre-professional experience pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-25-108(3).
   3. (c) Submission of evidence of passing the appropriate examination(s) pursuant to Rule 0470-01-.08.
   4. (d) The applicant shall provide evidence that he is of good moral character (Rule 0470-01- .05).
2. (2) Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist by Reciprocity - In addition to the requirements in T.C.A. 63-25- 109(a), a candidate for licensure by reciprocity must also provide evidence that he is of good moral character.
