1. (1) General

   1. (a) Purpose, Scope and Applicability The purpose of these regulations is to provide for the implementation of T.C.A. Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection, Chapter 221 Water and Sewerage, Part 4 Subsurface Sewage Disposal Systems.

   2. (b) Use of Number and Gender As used in these rules:

      1. 1. Words in the masculine gender also include the feminine and neuter genders; and
      2. 2. Words in the singular include the plural; and
      3. 3. Words in the plural include the singular.
