Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 0400-20-12-.27 – Energy Compensation Source

(1) The licensee may use an energy compensation source (ECS) that is contained within a logging tool, or other tool components, only if the ECS contains quantities of licensed material not exceeding 100 microcuries (3.7 MBq).
1. (a) For well logging with a surface casing for protecting fresh water aquifers, use of the ECS is only subject to the requirements of Rules 0400-20-12-.09, -.10 and -.11.
2. (b) For well logging without a surface casing for protecting fresh water aquifers, use of the ECS is only subject to the requirements of Rules 0400-20-12-.06, -.09, -.10, -.11, -.17 and -.26.
