- (1) The referee shall have sole discretion over whether a foul has occurred. The referee may use available equipment, such as replay video, to determine whether a foul occurred, whether it was intentional or accidental, and/or the appropriate action as a result of the foul. The referee shall use the appropriate Association of Boxing Commission’s Unified Rules of Professional Kickboxing, Unified Rules of Professional Muay Thai, the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, and/or an alternative rule set approved by the Commission for the specific contest when determining if a combatant’s tactics constitute a foul.
- (2) Any tactics that are determined to be fouls shall result in a warning and/or loss of points as determined by the referee.
- (3) In addition to or in lieu of losing points, any combatant guilty of any fouls that are applicable to the combatant's sport may be disqualified. The combatant's purse may be withheld from payment, and the combatant may be suspended. Disposition of the purse and the penalty to be imposed upon the combatant shall be determined by action of the Commission.
