- (1) Any milk into which any foreign substance has been added or introduced, including but not limited to water, is adulterated milk.
- (2) A laboratory examination of each producer’s milk shall be made at least ten (10) times per year to determine the presence of added water. A cryoscope reading of greater than -0.528 H indicates the presence of added water.
- (3) The department may reject all adulterated milk offered for sale and shall exclude the person or firm selling the adulterated milk from the market. The department may reinstate an excluded person or firm only when subsequent tests show the milk is unadulterated.
