Civil penalties specified in §§ 38-21-15.2, 38-21-17, 38-21-23, 38-21-33.1, 38-21-39.1, 38-21-39.2, 38-21-39.3, 38-21-40, and 38-21-44 do not lessen the damages that may be awarded to any person injured.
