S.D. Const. art. III, § 2
After the Legislature elected for the years 1937 and 1938 the number of members of the house of representatives shall not be less than fifty nor more than seventy-five and the number of members of the senate shall not be less than twenty-five nor more than thirty-five. The sessions of the Legislature shall be biennial except as otherwise provided in this Constitution.
