If assessment data indicates that petroleum vapors have the potential to adversely affect structures or utilities, the responsible person must determine if adverse affects have occurred. If adverse affects have occurred or, in the opinion of the department, may occur in the future, the responsible person must initiate corrective action consistent with the requirements of this chapter.
