The owner or operator and the secretary shall apply methods and standards generally accepted in the industry to conduct and evaluate mechanical integrity tests. The owner or operator shall report to the secretary the results of mechanical integrity tests, including a description of the tests and the methods used. The secretary shall review monitoring and other test data submitted since the previous evaluation in making a decision on mechanical integrity.
