The national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants for chemical manufacturing area sources are those in 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart VVVVVV (July 1, 2024). A source that operates a unit subject to Subpart VVVVVV is exempt from the obligation to obtain a Part 70 operating permit if the source is not required to obtain a Part 70 operating permit for a reason other than the source is subject to Subpart VVVVVV. Exempted sources must still meet the applicable requirements in Subpart VVVVVV.
