The board shall order an operator who has temporarily ceased production for the periods defined in SDCL 45-6B-3(6) and has not filed a notice of temporary cessation to file a notice pursuant to the requirements of this chapter. Operators who fail to file a notice of temporary cessation within 30 days after being notified by the board shall be issued a notice of violation by the board pursuant to SDCL 45-6B-48.
