Upon determination that assessment monitoring is required by § 74:27:20:01, the secretary may require additional monitoring wells at the relevant point of compliance or at any other location necessary to begin to characterize the nature and extent of the release. The sampling frequency of these wells is determined by § 74:27:20:02.
