Water used for drilling, development, or rehabilitation purposes, other than from the well itself, must be chlorinated clear water containing a free chlorine residual at the time of use.

Note: Best management practices as defined in subdivision 74:52:01:01(6) should be taken to reduce the potential of chlorinated waters reaching surface waters.
