A municipal sludge vehicle granted an overweight permit pursuant to § 70:03:01:53 may travel only over routes approved by the highway authority with jurisdiction over the highway. The highway authority may impose special operating conditions to ensure the protection of the highway surface and structures. Nothing in this section prohibits a highway authority from denying travel over any highway under its jurisdiction.
