Specialized therapy means:

1. (1) Art therapy used to:

   1. (a) Increase awareness of self and others;
   2. (b) Cope with symptoms, stress, or traumatic experiences; and
   3. (c) Enhance cognitive abilities;

2. (2) Music therapy, provided individually or in groups, used to help participants improve their:

   1. (a) Cognitive functioning;
   2. (b) Motor skills;
   3. (c) Emotional development;
   4. (d) Affective development;
   5. (e) Behavior;
   6. (f) Social skills; and
   7. (g) Quality of life; and

3. (3) Hippotherapy or therapeutic horseback riding used to promote the use of the movement of the horse as a treatment strategy in physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy sessions.

   Only state- or national board-certified therapists may provide specialized therapy services.
