The $1,500 amount for separate burial funds allowed by § 67:46:05:45 shall be reduced by the equity value of an irrevocable burial trust, contract, or other irrevocable arrangement which is available to meet the applicant's or recipient's burial expenses and the face value of an insurance policy of $1,500 or less on the applicant's or recipient's life if the policy is owned by the applicant or recipient or the applicant's or recipient's spouse and if the cash surrender value of the policy has been excluded from resources under § 67:46:05:30.
