A kinship foster home must:
- (1) Be equipped with working smoke detectors, installed according to the manufacturer's instructions, that can be heard under normal living conditions in each bedroom, outside of each sleeping area, and on every level of the home;
- (2) Be equipped with a working carbon monoxide detector with an audible alarm that can be heard under normal living conditions on each level of the home; and
- (3) Have an evacuation plan that is taught to each child by the kinship foster parent.
