Occupational therapy services are covered services if ordered by a physician or other licensed practitioner through a written prescription and provided by an occupational therapist licensed under SDCL chapter 36-31 or by an occupational therapy assistant licensed under SDCL chapter 36-31.

Any service provided by an occupational therapy assistant shall be billed by the supervising occupational therapist.
