Physical therapy services which are ordered by a physician or other licensed practitioner through a written prescription and provided by a physical therapist licensed under SDCL chapter 36-10 or by a physical therapist assistant certified under SDCL chapter 36-10 are covered services under this article.

Any service provided by a physical therapist assistant shall be billed by the supervising physical therapist.
