Native American households residing in the following counties must apply for assistance to the tribes listed:

The department shall deny assistance to Native American households applying through the department but residing in areas served by the tribes listed in this section. The department shall refer those households to the tribe for assistance.

The department shall serve Native American households residing in other areas.
