In computing the aid to families with depdendent children grant, the lodging expenses of an assistance unit in a dependent living arrangement is presumed to be furnished in-kind unless the assistance unit can provide documentation to show that it participates in meeting those costs.

Based on the documentation submitted, if the department determines that the assistance unit is participating in meeting the lodging expenses, the assistance unit is not to be subject to the unearned income standard in § 67:12:06:12.
