Applicants for, or recipients of, Aid to Families With Dependent Children shall cooperate with the department in identifying and locating the absent parent or parents of, obtaining child support payments for, or establishing paternity of a dependent child, or obtaining any other payments or resources legally due to the applicants or recipients. Refusal by the caretaker relative to comply with this requirement renders the caretaker relative ineligible for assistance. However, the children are eligible to receive assistance payments under a protective payee arrangement as defined in chapter 67:10:07.
