Consideration of sponsor's income and resources to alien.

The income and resources of an alien's sponsor and the sponsor's spouse, if any, are considered to be the unearned income and resources of the alien until the alien meets the criteria contained in Pub. L. No. 104-193, § 421(b) (110 Stat. 2270) (August 22, 1996).
