The inspector shall check on the extent that corrosion has progressed in the boiler metal. If corrosion has affected any area, the inspector must determine the thickness of the remaining metal by using ultrasonic equipment pursuant to Article 4, section V, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, July 1, 2021.
