The inspector shall examine flues for cleanliness on the fire side and for scale buildup on the water side, and excessive buildups must be removed before the boiler is fired again. If flues have been rerolled or replaced, the inspector shall check the workmanship and ensure that the flues have been beaded over on the firebox end.
