ARSD 61:08:05:21 – Placement of safety valves.

No stop valves shall be installed between a safety valve or relief valve and the boiler. On existing installations the safety or relief valve shall be mounted within three feet of the steam stop valve or an additional safety or relief valve shall be installed directly on the boiler.
