A person may file an appeal by delivering a written appeal to any local labor office or mailing or sending by facsimile a letter of appeal to the Department of Labor and Regulation. The time of filing is the date the appeal is delivered to the local labor office, is mailed to the department, or the facsimile is received by the department. If the last day for filing an appeal is a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the appeal is timely if it is filed on the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.
