If a provider of direct HCB services provides food preparation services, anyone involved with the food preparation shall thoroughly wash their hands and the exposed portions of their arms with soap and warm water before starting and as often as necessary during the food preparation to keep them clean. They shall also wash after smoking, eating, drinking, or using the toilet. They shall keep their fingernails and outer clothing clean.
