44 : 81 : 01 : 01 . Definitions. Terms used in this chapter mean:

1. (1) "ACIP," the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices;
2. (2) "Department," the South Dakota Department of Health;
3. (3) "DTaP," Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis vaccine;
4. (4) "Early childhood program," a program that is run by or held in the facilities of a school or school district;
5. (5) "MCV4" Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine (A,C,Y, W);
6. (6) "MMR," Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccine;
7. (7) "Poliovirus vaccine," Vaccine to protect against Polio disease;
8. (8) "SDIIS," South Dakota Immunization Information System;
9. (9) "Td," Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccine;
10. (10) "Tdap," Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis vaccine;
11. (11) "Transfer student," any student transferring into a school; and
12. (12) "Varicella," chickenpox vaccine.
