The facility shall establish and maintain policies and procedures that provide the staff with methods of meeting its administrative and technical responsibilities in providing custodial care to residents. The policies shall include at least the following:

1. (1) The noting of care and services provided by facility staff may be part of the Medicare certified hospice agency records;
2. (2) Providing custodial care for residents under the direction and as delegated by the Medicare certified hospice agency;
3. (3) Administration and control of medications;
4. (4) Documentation by personnel;
5. (5) Infection control; and
6. (6) Resident safety.
